Evangelism Made Easy

We are good news people in a bad news world and we must get this good news to the captives so that they can be set free.
Let us consider a scripture in Colossians 4:5 & 6
5 Live wisely among those who are not believers and make the most of every opportunity.
6 Let your conversation be gracious and attractive[a] so that you will have the right response for everyone.
I met the Lord when I was 33, I’m 45 next month (July 2023). So I have been saved nearly 13 years and I had access to lots of information, but yet I was an alcoholic, I was a cocaine addict. I was a self-harmer and I was living on and off the streets, and I had information for help groups and for groups that would help me get off alcohol.
And then someone came to me with information, the truth, and it set me free instantly January the 21st, 2010. I called upon the name of Jesus Christ for the very first time. It was my very first introduction to him and I said, “Jesus, if you are real, save me!”. He saved me in my desperation, with mustard-size seed faith!
Soul winners live wise when they go out and he have an interaction (have some contact) with a non-believer. Their speech is gracious and attractive. Non-judgmental, although when we speak the truth and it convicts.

How do we get Christ Jesus into our conversations?
Stumbling Blocks to Evangelism
How do we start and initiate conversations?
How can you and I Push past rejection?
How do we get Christ Jesus into our conversations?
Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God.
Not by hugging. Although hugs are a wonderful thing and embrace, but no one comes to faith by a simple hug. They have to hear the truth. Faith has action, and it also has audio. Faith comes by hearing, but we know in
James 2:26, that faith without deeds, faith without action, faith without corresponding response is dead. We have to remain active in our faith.

So how do we start and initiate conversations?
Well, I have this very simple introduction into a conversation, and each and every one of us can do this if you so want to. I t starts like this:
Has anyone told you today how much Jesus loves you?
Isn’t that so simple?
Now, three things have happened here question:
- Has anyone told you? It’s a Personal Thing.
- Has anyone told you today? Time Reference.
- And has anyone released ‘The Truth’ that Jesus loves you?
So there’s a, personal aspect, there’s a time reference, and there’s the truth all in one question. Now, if they say yes, that is typically an excuse to move you along because they probably haven’t heard today that Jesus loved them.
You could say “oh, great, what did they say?”
But please read their face because if, if they go into a little bit of an awkward place, move along and then say, “did they tell you that he is wonderful, that he’s forgiving, that he, for forgivers of our sins, that he, there was a death of burial or resurrection, and that he is the only way in which man can enter into heaven?”

Stumbling Blocks to Evangelism
- The urge to be creative or on the Cutting edge
We don’t! Do you know what is the greatest cutting edge?
The word of God it’s sharper than any double-edged sword that is the greatest cutting edge. So we don’t always have to be super creative in our evangelism. We just need to share the truth! When we walk into a room or into a meeting, one of the easiest ways is not always thinking “how can I be creative?” No, it’s simply just reading the room. Read the room! Let the gift of discernment rise up in you. Ask God as you walk in, “God, give me discernment, give me eyes to see and ears here what is going on in the heart of man to see what is going on what is going on?”
- Hostility Towards the Gospel
These days we can see that Christianity is becoming the most persecuted of the faiths. But know this, Jesus said, “I will build my church”. Anything that is built in Christ or with Christ will last forever!
Just because there is Hostility out there is not a reason for us to shrink back. We are not people who shrink back in this time; we’re people who press on towards the goal. I want you to just put your hand on your heart and say this,
“I will not shrink back! I will press forward in this season! I will press forward in this season”. Amen.
There are more believers, unwilling and without desire to share their faith than there are people who will be hostile towards you if you did.
Worldly people do worldly things. Kingdom people do kingdom things. Worldly people know not of the kingdom until kingdom people tell them. So we must go into all the world.
- We are Overchurched and Underwhelmed
Now how can that happen? It’s when we continuously attend church but have not fully experienced the move of God outside thew church.
One of the reasons why we wouldn’t share our faith, is because we’re not seeing the demonstration and power outside of the church walls.
What I’ve experienced as I teach train and equip the body globally is that we are bold inside of the four walls of the church, but less bold, where Jesus is telling us to be bold going through all the world. Why would we be more confident sharing the truth with somebody who’s already accepted the truth?
If you have already accepted the truth and someone shares the truth with you, we know that that person is going to accept what you say. Even if what you are saying is theologically off, they’re going to be gracious towards you in their correction. Therefore, we are bold where there’s actually no threat or hostility. We’re bold amongst believers when we ought to be bold surrounded with non-believers.

So how can you and I Push past rejection?
-
Here is how we flick this on the devil:
We can rejoice in rejection because if we’re fearful of being rejected, that fear will cripple us.
If we know that we are in good company (the Lord Jesus Christ), if we’re rejected, we can still rejoice. Why would we rejoice? Because a seed has been sown.
We must not condemn or judge the soil. Lets just put a seed in it. Whether the saints lead that person to Jesus through the goodness of God or not, we must encourage and celebrate it. So we must turn rejection into rejoicing. Rejoice my brothers and sisters rejoice when they come to Christ and rejoice when you have sown an incorruptible seed into their life.
